CT Liberty Forum Rules for Press/Media Passes

1.  Members of the media are welcome, and encouraged, to attend the Connecticut Liberty Forum during either day, free of charge, for the purpose of interviewing speakers and reporting on the event.

2.  Members of the media may present credentials in advance and/or at the registration desk on the day of the event. We strongly encourage members of the media to request a press/media pass in advance rather than waiting until the day of the event.  In order to obtain a press/media pass and have access to the event free of charge, the credentials presented must indicate that the person is a member of the press/media and that he or she will be working as such during the event for a designated news or media outlet covering the event. When applying in advance, send your letter to the CT Liberty Forum, c/o Deborah Stevenson, P.O. Box 704, Southbury, CT  06488 with a photocopy of your credentials. Press/Media passes will be available for pick-up at the registration desk on the day of the event.

3. Non-reporting employees of news or media agencies (executives, sales personnel, publishers, editors, etc.) are not eligible for press passes.

4.  Members of the media are not allowed to photograph or to record featured speakers without having first obtained their oral or written permission. In addition, when members of the public ask not to be photographed or recorded, please do not do so.

5. Members of the public who have paid registration to attend the event have preferential time to speak with our featured speakers ahead of the media, (i.e., members of the media may not monopolize a speaker’s time when paid registrants wish to speak with them.)

6. Press/Media passes do not entitle members of the media to meals at the CT Liberty Forum. If members of the media would like to partake of the buffet during the keynote luncheon and dinner on Saturday or the keynote breakfast on Sunday, then they must register and pay as other members of the public must. Food may not be brought into the CT Liberty Forum.

7.  The CT Liberty Forum reserves the right to deny access to any part of the forum to any member of the media who fails to observe these rules.
